BMW Ready to Use Universal Platform After 2020

It seems that after the 'hijacked' BMW designers to the Korean manufacturer, BMW began to run out of sense about the stock of cars to be produced. Fortunately they are quick to learn from Honda and VW, because they will use flexible architecture for all future models. Yeah, they've streamlined the platform they have, but later will be made into 1 platform only.

Klaus Frohlich as the management of BMW said that BMW's sub-brand models as a variant that prioritizes electric engines, plug-in hybrid and conventional engines will use the same platform between models. So both BMW and BMW models i would use the same chassis, but not yet know its fate with cars MINI and Rolls Royce.

This is said by Robert Irlinger as a logical thing. Obviously, as the next few years cars with conventional and electric technology will reach a period of high level turmoil, because they will be banged between government support VS consumer desires. Understand what we mean?

Suppose there are confused and think if later both AWD, FWD and RWD will wear the same body, whether later all the cars have a cavity for propeller shaft and rear wheel space? How about space for battery and other devices? If the case is a traditional car, then yes, but if the problem is for an electric car, the existing cavity could be further minimized, because the problem is just the placement & the number of electric motors only.

BMW also promises that its new platform is very smart and flexible for cars with various types of movers, although we are still a bit skeptical that BMW use FWD drive. The reason? BMW is proper RWD. As an opener, BMW should be spawned BMW i5 electric sedan as a car that will challenge Tesla Model S and Porsche Mission E.
